Your Labour Team: Bob Cook & Eileen Johnson

There has never been a more important local election as our Council faces huge cuts in its budgets and our area needs strong people to stick up for our community.

And with Bob Cook, who has served the area for 16 years, being joined by Eileen Johnson, we have a Labour team that will fight your corner as everything from police numbers to leisure services suffer under the Tory led Government.

They'll work to ensure that critical local services like street cleaning, refuse collection, job creation, bus services and environmental improvements are maintained.

Norton South has seen great change with the planned clearance of Swainby Road and Norton Road and that, with the house building on the former Sarek Joinery site, will see the area improved tremendously.

The town too is seeing great change with the Globe redevelopment and the new High Street Enterprise Arcade bringing jobs to the area.

Much more still needs to be done and Bob and Eileen will be your voice in tough times and make things happen.

A strong, experienced team to work for Norton people

Bob Cook

Bob Cook is married to Sandra and they have two adult daughters and two grandchildren. He has lived in Norton for 36 years and has represented the area since 1995. He is the Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Transport and is proud of the Billingham Forum and Globe projects.

Bob is proud and to have again been selected to fight for your vote and pledges to continue his hard work if elected.

Eileen Johnson

Eileen Johnson is married to David and has a son, a daughter and three grandchildren. She has wide experience both as a councillor and helping people in the community as a caseworker.

She cares about our area and hopes her skills and experience will help make life better for local people. If elected, she will work hard to maintain and improve services that help the most vulnerable in our community.
